An Owl's eye view of FAU:

The Owls look to earn their first road win of the season as they head to Miami on Saturday. FAU is fourth in the conference in rebounding offense (41.5) and defensive rebounds (27.6) per game. The team is shooting 39.3 percent but being outscored by challengers 72.4-64.6. Last time out for the Owls: FAU's second half struggles led to a 76-53 loss to Marshall (10-3, 2-0 C-USA) last Sunday afternoon. The Owls were outscored 41-19 in the second half of the contest despite outshooting the Thundering Herd 38.2-37.3 percent overall. All nine Owls that saw the floor had at least two points and three rebounds. The FAU defense worked hard as they held the Herd to below their average of 82.3 points and .483 shooting at home.

Whooo to watch: Jacey Bailey broke the career high she set two days earlier at WKU with 10 points in the Marshall contest. The freshman guard also had five rebounds and one assist. Alexis Shannon also had an impressive offensive performance going 5-for-6 for a career-high 10 points. The frosh added four rebounds and one assist in just 23 minutes.

Redshirt junior Raven Doyle is tops on defense with 6.9 boards per game, which is 10th in C-USA, while also averaging 8.6 points. Junior Sasha Cedeno has a team-best 10.3 points per game on 36.5 percent shooting from the floor and 33.3 percent from beyond the arc. Freshman forward Katelyn O'Reilly boasts an impressive 51.7 field goal percentage with 8.8 points each game. She adds 4.3 rebounds and has accumulated 11 steals on the season. Ra'Kyra Gabriel rounds out the group with a team-leading 12 blocks to put her ninth in the league.

An Owl's eye view of FIU:

The Panthers' two wins this season have come at home versus Robert Morris and UMass. FIU is being outscored by opponents 71.5-51.8 while shooting 35.2 percent overall and 72.5 percent at the free throw line, which is third in Conference USA (C-USA).

Most recent outing for the Panthers: The half-court pressure administered by WKU (10-4, 2-0 C-USA) proved to be too much for FIU as the Panthers lost 90-38 in Bowling Green, Kentucky on New Year's Day in C-USA action. FIU did not connect on a three-point basket for the first time this season in the loss.

Whooo to Watch: Redshirt sophomore Kiandre'a Pound led the Panthers with 12 points, while senior Janka Hegedus had a team-high seven rebounds against WKU.
