BOCA RATON, Fla. - Bianca Biglione, a junior on the Florida Atlantic University women's tennis team, continues to shine in and out of the classroom adding CoSIDA Academic All-District 4 At-Large honors to her resume.

The 2016 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSida) made the announcement on Thursday. Those chosen as first team members will advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team ballot. The at-large is a non-sport specific team and combines nominations from 25 NCAA intercollege sports.

"Bianca is a student-athlete who joined our program with clear goals," said Marcy Cava, FAU's head women's tennis coach. "She continues to put together an outstanding resume both on and off the court and this honor is just another example of her hard work and dedication to both academics and tennis."

Since the conclusion of the 2016 women's tennis team's season, Biglione has earned the FAU Female, Academic Achievement Award, a spot on the Conference USA All-Academic Team and was named third team all-conference.

Biglione posted a 15-4 singles mark playing primarily at positions four and six where she combined for a 10-2 record. Academically, Biglione holds a perfect 4.0 G.P.A. as a biological science and psychology major and will continue her pursuit of her post-graduation goals to become a physician. During her FAU career, Biglione has represented the Owls as a C-USA All-Conference selection, a two-time league All-Academic selection and was named as an at-large Capital One All-Academic selection (2015). She was a 2014-15 C-USA Spirit of Service Award winner and the 2014-15 FAU Female Student-Athlete of the Year.
