Owls Finish Strong at FGCU Fall Invite

Oct. 31, 2016

FORT MYERS, Fla. -- The Florida Atlantic University men's tennis team swept doubles play and won three of its four single matches on the final day of the FGCU Fall Invitational to round out its fall slate.

"We showed some improvement this past weekend at FGCU and I was most happy with the way we finished the tournament," FAU Head Coach Ricardo Gonzalez said. "I am confident our team is making strides in the right direction and we need to continue to improve so once spring season comes, we are at our best. I am excited to see Andrei back in full capacity after taking an entire year off due to shoulder surgery. I can't wait to watch him compete in the spring. I know he is really looking forward to his last spring semester as an Owl."
