Softball Falls to #10/#9 Florida State 12-0 in Six Innings

BOCA RATON, Fla. (March 10, 2015) - The Florida Atlantic softball team lost to nationally ranked Florida State 12-0 in six innings on Tuesday.

The Seminoles (19-5) scored a run in each of the first three innings to take an early lead. FSU added two more in the fourth inning to push the lead to 5-0. Amanda Wilson was able to keep the Seminoles off the scoreboard in the fifth inning before they exploded for seven more runs in the sixth.

An FSU error and a Mickey Bell base hit to left accounted for the Owls' only two base runners of the evening.

The loss drops the Owls to 19-6-1 on the season. They will travel to Louisiana Tech this weekend to start Conference USA play. The series will start on Saturday with a doubleheader.
