Volleyball Bested By UTSA in Four

BOCA RATON, Fla. The Florida Atlantic University volleyball team gave a valiant effort, but fell to UTSA in four sets (19-25, 25-21, 25-15, 25-21) on Friday night.

The Owls (15-9, 7-5) held UTSA to a .133 hitting percentage in the first set and led most of the way in a 25-19 win. Late in the second set, the score was tied 19-19, when UTSA (17-7, 8-2) closed on a 6-2 run to tie the match with a 25-21 win.

In the third set, the Roadrunners scored five straight to turn a 13-9 lead into an 18-9 lead, and FAU could never get closer than six in a 25-15 loss. The Roadrunners had an 18-12 lead late in the fourth set, but FAU fought back and got within two at 19-17. However, the Owls would get no closer and Dajana Boskovic's 29th kill clinched the match for the Roadrunners
