Sydney Drinkwater Named C-USA Goalkeeper of the Week

BOCA RATON, Fla. â€" Florida Atlantic University women's soccer goalkeeper Sydney Drinkwater was named the Conference USA Goalkeeper of the Week after shutting out Marshall on the road Friday night.

"It's an honor to be recognized by the Conference," Drinkwater said. "Our whole team fights so hard every match and Friday was a big win for us. The back line really played strong against a lot of Marshall shots."

The junior moved into second place in program history with her 15th career shutout after recording her third consecutive clean sheet. Drinkwater tied her career high with nine saves in the match the Owls took 1-0.

Drinkwater has made 76 saves on the year with seven shutouts. She boasts a save percentage of .835 and a goals against average of just .87 in her 1,548 minutes in goal.
