Men's Hoops to Host Western Kentucky, Marshall

BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic men's basketball team will host conference foes Western Kentucky and Marshall on Thursday and Saturday, respectively. Junior Solomon Poole leads the Owls at 14.9 points per game, while Kelvin Penn is averaging 8.5 rebounds in the team's last six games.

The Owls (7-7, 0-3 C-USA) and the Hilltoppers (10-5, 3-0) 65-62 are familiar foes, having spent seven seasons as rivals in the Sun Belt Conference. Western Kentucky is in its first season in Conference USA after moving from the Sun Belt. The Owls have won three of the last four meetings versus WKU, including sweeping both games during the 2012-13 season. Thursday's contest tips off at 7 p.m.

On Saturday night, Marshall (4-12, 0-3) will come to Boca Raton. The game will air on ASN and will tip at 5:30 p.m. FAU split last season's two meetings with the Thundering Herd, with FAU winning the regular season matchup 65-57, while Marshall avenged the loss 63-59 in the first round of the C-USA tournament.
