Owls Head to Charlotte

Oct. 8, 2014

BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic University volleyball team will play only one match this week, traveling to Charlotte to play the 49ers on Sunday.

The Owls (12-6, 3-2 C-USA) split their home matches last weekend, sweeping UAB on Friday, before falling to Western Kentucky on Sunday. Katarina Stepanovic became the first FAU volleyball player to earn a conference weekly award in eight years when she won C-USA Defensive Player of the Week.

Charlotte (12-10, 1-4) has lost its last three matches, including a sweep at the hands of Western Kentucky on Tuesday night. FAU defeated the 49ers in last year's meeting in Boca Raton. Ivana Bulajic had 14 kills in the victory, which was the Owls' first ever C-USA win.

Sunday's match is set for 1 p.m. Links to live stats will be available at fausports.com.
