Florida Atlantic University athletics department has named David Case as its head equipment manager for athletics.
Case arrives to FAU during its mid-season of spring sports and in preparation for football and the fall sports to begin. Previously, Case was at Baylor University where he was the assistant equipment manager for football since 2007. He was responsible for the coordination of the visiting locker room, supervision of student managers, as well as helped with the budget and ordering of football equipment, amongst many other tasks.
Case began his career as the visiting clubhouse manager with the Carolina Mudcats Minor League Baseball team in 2003. After the Mudcats, Case was able to gain experience with the World Baseball Classic, the Mississippi Braves Minor League Baseball team and work for the University of Central Florida as an equipment manager intern.
Case earned his bachelor's degree in mass communications from North Carolina State University in 2004.
