Jesse Shugg Featured in Hometown Newspaper

Boca Raton, FL - Florida Atlantic University sophomore forward Jesse Shugg was recently featured in a hometown article in The Hamilton Spectator.

The Burlington, Ontario, Canada native leads the team with six goals, including three game winning goals. Shugg scored two goals during a Sun Belt Conference victory over Troy University on October 2. Earlier this fall, the forward found the back of the net on two occasions in a home victory against the University of Missouri-Kansas city.

On the season, Shugg ranks fifth in the SBC by averaging 2.93 shots per match.

Shugg has scored 13 career goals and 28 points. The forward has recorded a .156 shooting percentage and a 50-percent of her shots have been on goal in 31 career games.

FAU stands 5-9-1 on the season and 1-6-1 in league action. The Owls travel to the University of Louisiana-Lafayette on Thursday, October 20 before hosting the University of Louisiana-Monroe on Sunday, October 23 at noon on Senior Day.
