DELAND, FL - The Florida Atlantic softball team (35-24) lost to Stetson 5-2 on Sunday.
In the second inning, the Owls took a 1-0 lead on a Christine Houghtaling single that scored Becky Brandies. Lauren Crandall gave FAU a 2-0 lead in the fourth inning when she scored on a sacrifice fly by Kerri Croney.
The score was still 2-0 with two outs in the bottom of the sixth inning when Stetson scored five runs to take a 5-2 lead. The Owls were retired in order in the seventh to end the game.
FAU will move on to Troy, AL for the Sun Belt Conference Tournament. The Owls are the no. 2 seed and face no. 7 seed ULM at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
