Final Stats

UCF snapped no. 72 Florida Atlantic University men's tennis team four-match winning streak by taking a 4-3 decision over the Owls on Thursday in Orlando. The Owls pulled out the doubles point but only picked up wins at the no. 1 and no. 2 singles positions to suffer the loss.

In doubles action the Owls stood at 1-1 before Marc Abdelnour and Eddie Majcher earned a 9-8 (9-7) victory over UCF's Johan Beigart and Brock Sakey.

Abdelnour picked up his second point of the day in singles play with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Nikolas Overkemping at the no. 2 spot. Olivier Sajous was the only other Owl to win his singles match as he defeated Sinan Sudas 6-3, 6-4.

Beigart and Sakey were pushed to three sets in singles action by Corey Smith and Karol Szmurlo. Szmurlo's 6-3, 3-6, 6-2 loss sealed the match win for the Golden Knights.

FAU has one match remaining this season before heading to the Sun Belt Conference Championship. The squad will face Bethune-Cookman on April 8 in Boca Raton before heading to Monroe, LA for the conference championship on April 18-20.
