BOCA RATON - Keeping with the belief that Florida Atlantic University's football team will impact the lives of everyone who lives in the Boca Raton community, assistant head coach Kurt Van Valkenburgh the Fighting Owls will lead the 2001 WalkAmerica, Saturday, April 28.

The walk is being coordinated by the March of Dimes an organization which joins forces with more than 50 corporations, schools, individuals, and their friends and families to raise funds for the fight to prevent birth defects and infant mortality.

This year's WalkAmerica will begin and end on FAU's campus and will consist of a three-mile nature walk or 8.6 miles via A1A/ocean. The opening ceremony will begin at 8 a.m. and the Walk kicks off at 8:30 a.m.
