New Orleans Bowl: Member of a unit that did not allow a sack in the program's first bowl game and allowed Rusty Smith to pass for a New Orleans Bowl record five touchdowns.
2007: Moved from left guard to right guard to accommodate a knee injury...started every game...played the middle three positions and that experience is key to the unit's bond...member of a line that limited opponents to just 15 sacks despite playing a strong non-conference schedule and earned a No. 13 national rank...the unit allowed quarterback Rusty Smith to pass for an FAU and Sun Belt Conference yards record...also provided protection for Smith to toss five touchdowns twice.
2006: Flourished as an offensive lineman...started every game and jumped into the center position, due to an injury mid-season...held that position until the starting center's return and then moved back to guard for the remainder of the season.
2005: Used the year to move from defense to offense...redshirted.
High School: Played defensive tackle for Chad Barnhandt at Lake Wales High School...team leader in tackles for losses...senior member of the South versus Central All-Star Team...served as team captain...three-sport athlete (football, baseball and track).
Personal: Business management major...son of Lisa and Jim Vaughn...born Dec. 2, 1986, in Webster, TX.
