2006: Redshirted while working out with the team both in the fall and spring.

High School: Played for Phil Ziglar at Boone High School, where he averaged 14 pancakes a game...earned first-team All-State, All-Central Florida, All-Orange County and was named Boone's Offensive Lineman of the Year...two-sport athlete (football and weight lifting)...participated in the Central Florida All-Star game...also considered N.C. State.

Orlando Sentinel "The Buzz": Was a key blocker for a 9-3 team that scored a playoff victory before losing to Palm Beach Gardens Dwyer.
