Women, Men Both 4th at Hatter Invitational

DELAND, FL - In its last meet before heading to Western Kentucky for the Sun Belt Championships, the Florida Atlantic University men's and women's cross country teams both finished 4th at the Hatter Invitational. The women were led by Friederike Feil, who finished 5th overall in 18:52. Katie Quick followed in 19:20, good for 9th overall. Senior Barbara Fronrath ran a 19:55 (25th), followed by Christina Dutko, who finished 31st in 20:07. Toni Shae Jackson rounded out the scoring for FAU with a time of 20:09, placing 32nd. Emily Seymore (20:43, 45th), Jennifer Schwan (20:56, 51st) were the 6th and 7th finishers for FAU. Charlene Luxama (21:43, 72nd) and Patricia Gumbs (22:01, 83rd) also competed for FAU. Alison Wilcox (19:57), Ashley Wilcox (20:21) and Jaymie Brooks (21:43) ran as unattached runners.
The men were led by Taylor Reeves who finished 12th in 27:12 Stephen Dassin ran a 27:38 to finish 18th. John Roy ran a 28:49 to place 42nd and he was followed just one second later by Kyle Butler (43rd). Timothy Haines (29:41, 59th) and Jordan Dopkins (29:59, 63rd) also scored for FAU. Brandon Oakes (31:34, 85th) and Tim McClellan (32:41, 96th) ran well for the Owls.
