Staff Bios

	Tony Smith – Head Strength and Conditioning Coach Tony Smith became Florida Atlantic University's head strength and conditioning coach in May of 2005. Smith came to Florida Atlantic from the University of Mississippi where he served as the senior strength and conditioning coach, since 2001, and where he worked directly with football and men's basketball.   Prior to Ole Miss, Smith served a stint at the University of Findlay where he was the director of strength, speed and conditioning for 26 sports and worked directly with football, and both men's and women's basketball. 	Matthew Pleskovic – Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach Matthew Pleskovic joined Florida Atlantic University's strength and conditioning staff in February of 2006 as the assistant strength and conditioning coach. His mid-year induction to the staff was flawless after rejoining former co-worker Tony Smith, FAU's head strength and conditioning coach.   Pleskovic came to FAU from Gardner-Webb where he had served as the head strength coach since 2004 and oversaw 20 teams. While at Gardner-Webb, Pleskovic had many successful teams including the 2005 Atlantic Sun's Men's Basketball regular-season champions and the 2006 Atlantic Sun's Men's Track Championship team. 	Andrea Sweet – Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach Andrea Sweet joined the Florida Atlantic University strength and conditioning staff in February of 2007. Prior to joining FAU, Sweet was one of two head strength coaches at Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning in Boston, MA., a premier training facility for hockey, basketball and tennis athletes.   While at Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning, Sweet was in charge of the development program for professional, collegiate and high school level athletes. In 2004-2005 Andrea worked at Velocity Sports Performance where she was the Asst. Sports Performance Director in which she designed and implemented programs for elite athletes from the NBA, NFL, and college levels. Read More
